How do I Customize My Project Boards?

**Currently, only admins can manage Customize Project Boards.

STARS allows for the customization of two options on Project Boards: Column Labels and Column Colors.  To customize these options, simply select the More button from your STARS boards.  Next, choose Customize Boards.

account settings

Column labels are called States. Your list of States will be displayed.  By default, one State is displayed.  It is black and called Backlog.  You can edit this state and you can add more states.  In order to edit this state, select Edit.

A new selection will appear to the right.  Name your new State and select a color.  Select Save Changes when customizations are complete.

Note: The STARS tools is tailored toward SCRUM and Kanban Agile methodologies. In these methodologies, all boards must have a backlog column which is placed as the first column.  Therefore, this column is applied to all boards and cannot be removed.  Other columns labels (non-Backlog columns) can be customized for which Project Board to appear on and column order.  The example below is for a column that is named Todo.  You can change the scope (what Project Board to add this column to) and order (in which order the column will appear).  Select Save Changes when complete.

Up to 100 columns can be created.  In order to create a new column, simply select the More button from your STARS boards.  Next, choose Customize Boards.
